I share how Independence Day became one of my favorite holidays (it wasn’t always!). During my first July 4th living away from the United States, my experience of singing “America the Beautiful” with fellow Americans onboard a cruise ship in Greece strengthened the celebration of my heritage and love of the holiday. I offer tasty recipe suggestions and fun grilling ideas for this July 4th (or any barbecue!): Grilled Two-Cheese Burgers, Grilled Potato Salad, Grilled Crunchy Coleslaw, and Grilled Tomato Salsa.
