Guy’s Grocery Games: “A Culinary Spelling Bee”
Melissa is back as a reoccurring judge on Food Network’s hit primetime competition show, “Guy’s Grocery Games.”
About the show: Four talented chefs compete in supermarket-themed cooking challenges as they must navigate their way through the aisles, adhering to “real-world” obstacles doled out by host Guy Fieri. Whether it is shopping on a budget, substituting out-of-stock ingredients or grabbing groceries at closing time, the contenders have to shop, prepare, and plate three different dishes using whatever they can pull off the shelves. Ultimately, the food does the talking, as one-by-one the losing chefs “check out,” with the last chef standing going on a shopping spree of a lifetime worth up to $20,000!
In this episode: Four chefs put their culinary and spelling skills to the test in the alphabetically enticing game, ABC. The second game has contestants rummaging through bins to make a show-stopping starter in Clearance Carts. Then, it is every chef’s worst nightmare in Frozen Food Feud, where the two remaining contestants have to make a classic dish worthy of the $20,000 Shopping Spree.
